Personal data in the application process
Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, and date of birth, as well as data about your specific career, etc., which can be attributed to a specific person with reasonable effort. However, information that is not directly or indirectly linked to your real identity is not personal data.
Basis and purposes for processing personal data in applications and during the application process
If you apply to us electronically, i.e., by email or via our web form, the personal data you submit will be collected, processed, and used for the purpose of deciding whether to establish an employment relationship in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The provision of your personal data is necessary for the processing of the application process and for deciding whether to establish an employment relationship and for pre-contractual measures. If you do not provide this information, we will unfortunately not be able to consider you for the advertised position. No automated decision-making will be carried out. By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you express your interest in working for us. In this context, you provide us with personal data, which we will use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application.
In particular, the following data will be collected:
Name (first and last name)
Email address
Telephone number
Availability date
Salary expectations
You also have the option of uploading relevant documents such as a cover letter, your resume, and references. These may contain additional personal data such as date of birth, address, etc.
Only authorized HR employees or employees involved in the application process have access to your data.
Personal data is generally stored solely for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied.
Your data will be stored for a period of six months beyond the end of the application process. This is generally done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against any claims arising from statutory provisions. We are then obligated to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, the data will only be available to us as so-called metadata without direct personal reference for statistical evaluations (e.g., proportion of women or men in applications, number of applications per period, etc.).
If you receive and accept a job offer with us as part of the application process, we will store the personal data collected during the application process for at least the duration of your employment relationship.
Disclosure of data to third parties
The data submitted as part of your application is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Personio SE & Co. KG, which offers HR management and applicant tracking software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The basis for processing is a contract for order processing between us as the responsible party and Personio.
Rights of the data subject
If we as the responsible party process personal data, you as the data subject have rights, depending on the legal basis and purpose.
